Nobody received the same quote.

"Every salesperson filled out orders differently and each had their own way of pricing.  All of this was done through an Excel spreadsheet. The production team was completely at their mercy based on how all of the job information was setup from the start. Naturally, the lack of consistency caused a lot of problems, especially with re-work on jobs.

Spent 6 months looking at systems, then never looked back.

"We started looking into either developing our own system or finding an existing one that would suit what we wanted to do. Ultimately, we were trying to get rid of the miscommunication between the front of the business and the back end, which was happening often. I heard about Cyrious Software and I decided to take a look at SGIA. When I stopped by the booth, I saw it and thought “Oh that could be it”. I was very interested, tried it out, and we never looked back.

"Control is an incredibly powerful system, but as with any system it is garbage-in garbage-out. You have to take your time to give it good information, then it gives you a ton of power.

"When I started out, I didn’t know what I didn’t know. I had no idea what I was missing until I asked “How do I do this?” I liked being able to talk one on one with Peter and Annette and the fact that I was able to schedule time to get 2 or 3 calls a week.

The information chase is (almost!) over.

"The biggest improvement? We can track everything. Plus, our rework and mistakes have dropped significantly. Communication has improved now that everything is being written down in the sales order.

"If I do ball-parking guessing, I know that in the last couple of weeks, all the calls that would normally be going back and forth between the sales office and the production facility, we cut it down to probably 10% of what it used to be. From 100 calls a day to maybe 10.
