Cyrious Conversations: Tom Hurtz, Lynn Imaging

It was the best software rollout we have ever experienced.

The fact that there is a time frame set to “Go Live” by Cyrious, I think, is very helpful. It gets you off your butt, gets you moving, plus the clock is ticking and money on the line. You could miss out on discounted training hours. there’s some enticement there to go. The weekly meetings, you feel like you’re accountable to complete your “homework” and meet your weekly goals. And there’s no problem with that. It keeps you focused on it, and keeps you moving. It’s a really good way to implement- it’s a way to be successful. You have the goals, and to reach those goals, you’re gonna be successful in your implementation!

Control is giving us a better number to take back to our customer.

We’ve learned a whole lot on estimating and we like the software. What I have heard back from our store and color-operation manager, is he feels real confident in the numbers he’s giving back to our customers now. He’s confident that, you know, this is the best number we can give you, and still make money. And that’s important.

Looking Ahead

Right now, we’re really focusing on the estimating, but we’re starting to look at the tracking jobs portion of it and we like what we see. So, we’re just kind of expanding as we go. Right now, we’re using Cyrious in just our color operation; not in our black-and-white, or our two other locations. In our color operation, we felt like we needed the quoting ability the quickest. I think our plan is to replace our other Point-of-Sales software in the next year/year-and-a-half, within our black and white operation and other locations.
