Does the thought of change scare you? Do you get paralyzed with questions like, “How will I learn this? How much money is this going to cost me?  Is this going to be a pain for everyone else to learn? Is it really worth it?”

Well, any worthwhile change is going to be associated with a learning curve, time and effort. Gary C. Schellerer with Signs by Tomorrow in Bloomingdale, IL shared his experience  with implementing a new system and more importantly the benefits he’s seen as a direct result of it.

“We switched to Control® about a year and a half ago.  The initial conversion was like anything else, it had its learning curves and challenges. But, it has definitely changed the way we do business. ” said Schellerer. ” I know we are doing a lot of things automatically with  macros that would otherwise be very time consuming. One of the coolest ones and I think everyone in our office appreciates is automatic billing. If our customers choose to opt-in to automatic billing, every morning a macro runs to send an email invoice for all orders marked “picked up”.  Just think about that time savings.

With literally hundreds of ways to automate your business processes with Control®, think about what you could take off your plate.

Sign businesses large and small can experience the same results. Time and money savings are beneficial to everyone. Perhaps you have employees wearing different hats and filling multiple roles.  For example, those same macros to remove the task of sending invoices would be helpful for any business.

Let’s take it a step further. You’ve implemented change and processes in the shop. But what about when you’re away? We’ve all seen and heard about  the iPad. It’s shiny and it’s sleek, but it’s also chock full of efficiency potential. Imagine for a moment, doing many of the things you do everyday in your business, from miles away. It’s a sales power house. Simply take your iPad with you when you visit a customer, log into Control via LogMeIn or a similar App, then produce and email your quote all during the conversation. Now design and production can begin  the order even sooner.

You’ll be amazed at what you can do when you think just a little outside the box and embrace technology. Don’t be afraid and let technology do the work for you.
