Cyrious Software Releases New Version of Control with Added Price Lock Feature

Baton Rouge, LA - Cyrious Software released Control© version 4.6  which contains a new Price Lock feature.  Price Lock allows an  individual order to be protected from any price changes when  factors such as part costs, materials used, and machines utilized are changed.  Thus, certain order details can be edited without causing a change in the total order price.  Discussions with managers of sign and graphics companies made it clear that this feature will save employees a significant amount of time from having to adjust the price back to the approved price.

Here is how Price Lock can be used daily in sign and graphics businesses.  Suppose that the work order states that this job will be run on Machine A.  To meet the order deadline and manage workflow, the production manager decides to run this job on Machine B, which has a higher cost to run than Machine A.  With Price Lock enabled on this order, the production manager can change the machine used without causing a price increase.

Another situation where Price Lock cuts out wasted time is when the Production Manager decides to use a different material than was included when the job was entered.  Perhaps a special, more expensive  roll of vinyl was ordered specifically for a job two months ago.  If the roll has not been utilized since, the production manager may choose to use it on the current order to recoup some of the costs of that roll.  The production manager can easily make the adjustment without affecting the final order price.

In addition to Price Lock, the latest version of Control© also includes more than 15 improvements to the system.
